Once a town of sin, today, a busy tlittle own with a big supermarket, a 3-star hotel, friendly folks and a lot of war time history. Discover its rich history and its unique culture from our partner, Clive or Halim when he greets you at the modern and very under utilised Limbang airport. Born and raised in Limbang from the 50s and exposed to the world through Canadian tertiary education in Plant Science, he will share with you the old and new tales in this region plus best food in town! He has a unrelentless passion to share Limbang with the world!

What do I get to do?
Mountain biking, hiking along the 'Headhunter's Trail' and up the 'Pinnacles', and caving (show caves).

Itinerary
Day 1 (L,D)
Meet at Limbang Airport (first flight) or Hotel. This morning we ride a 4WD to the interior of the jungle. From the high point, we ride a mountain bike down and up several times until we reach the river bank. A long boat transfers us up river to Mentawai Ranger Post. Sometimes we have to push the boat, if the water level is low. Overnight at the station.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
This morning we ride a boat against rapids for 30 mins to Kuala Terikan where hiking begins for 4 hours at the Headhunter's trail. Overnight at Camp 5.
Day 3 (B,L,D)
This morning we begin the toughest of the journey by climbing Mount Api to reach the 'Pinnacles'. Allow 8 hours to climb up and down. Packed lunch at the view point which is 1.2 km high above sea level. Overnight at Camp 5.
Day 4 (B,L)
After breakfast, we hike at Melinau trail for 3 hours until we reach Kuala Litut. From there a boat transfers us to Wind and Clear Water caves. Packed lunch at the jetty.
0100hour, we ride a boat to Mulu Park HQ. Check in accommodation.
0230hour, we walk for 3 kms to Deer and Lang's caves. Witness the exodus of bats flying out for food at dusk. Overnight at park accommodation or lodges outside the park
Day 5
Check out and find own way to Airport (5 minutes drive). End of the tour.

What does it include?
Land and river transfers, mountain bike, meals as stated, entry permit and fees, pinnacles and camp fees, meals as stated, and English speaking guide. (B-breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner).
What does it exclude?
Items not mentioned such as gratuity tips for the guide, insurance and cost of alcoholic drinks.
What do I need to wear/bring?
Please bring the following in addition to what you would normally pack:
- Waterproof jacket / raincoat/ poncho
- Trekking / off road sports shoes/ adidas kampung
- Leech socks
- Dry bag to keep any important items dry
- Sandals - strapped preferably
- Sunblock
- Hat
- Insect repellent
- cSwimwear - good for hiking then straight into the river!
- Light pullover
- Long sleeved shirt
- Trousers
- Torchlight / headlamp with 2 sets of backup batteries - waterproof and able to take some knocking is best
- Snacks/Drinks - for in-between meals. There are few snack/drink choices at the park and expect higher rates.
Best time to visit
This tour can be run at any time during the year. If it's the rainy season, there will be more activities to do on the river. However, if it is raining on the day of your Pinnacles climb, the guide will be forced to cancel the trip.
Getting Here
Limbang is accessible by air daily from Miri and Kota Kinabalu airport. From Kuala Lumpur, you can choose to either fly via Malaysia Airlines (MAS) or AirAsia to Sarawak then find a connecting flight to Limbang. Please check flights with Malaysia airlines and Airasia.
There are now air-conditioned buses connecting Kota Kinabalu and the towns along the way to Limbang.

This is a true eco-adventure experience. Proceeds of this tour will directly and indirectly benefit the community of your guides. The men will also aid us as knowledgeable guides upriver and skilled boatmen to navigate us to our destinations.
All transportation used is locally owned and provided. The guides are slowly learning the value of eco-tourism and are ever slowly changing their ways of hunting to being nature guides.
All produce is purchased or planted locally. This tour enables these communities that depend on tourism to continue with their way of life.
