Learn about nature while having extreme fun zipping across the ancient tropical rainforest canopies of Langkawi!
This canopy adventure will have you abseiling, climbing, trekking and gliding/zipping high above the ground on a cable system resembling a flying fox. This is a truly novel extreme activity which will be cemented in your mind for long, long time. It's definitely not for the faint hearted.
The family-run adventure starts from the base of Mount/Gunung Raya, Langkawi's tallest mountain (890m) and home to some 400 tree species and an array of wildlife including the flying lemur, mouse deer, loris, wild boar, civet cat and at least 40 species of snakes. After brieing on the adventure, you will be suited up in a climbing harness and trained on safety, you will hike up the mountain for about 30mins to the first canopy platform for your practical training before 'your release to the wild'. In between the flying stops, there will be some short treks to negotiate steep boulders with the aid of a tightrope, putting some rappelling skills to practice. At the last stop, you whiz over green vegetation 140 meters into a tree before abseiling down its 30 meter tall trunk.
There's little chance of backing out once you're on the adventure!!
Favourite Asked Questions
What is difference between Langkawi Jungle Canopy Adventure and Skytrex Langkawi Adventure Park?
This is the original jungle canopy adventure in Malaysia. It had started operations in Langkawi many years before Skytrex planted its actvities in Shah Alam and Langkawi. Both are fun. Langkawi Jungle Canopy Adventure's circuits are a lot more raw, especially since it is built within a primary jungle on a mountain. Not only will you zip from tree to tree and negotiate some challenges, there will be some hiking, scrambling on boulders, and abseiling on an undulating terrain.
The circuits here takes you into primary Langkawi jungles of Gunung Raya.
