Take a break from your smart phone, the city polution, your hectic life or your troubles, and come to Gopeng for river kayaking fun! Frolic in water and in the sun as you, your friends, family or with other fun seekers, attempt to negotiate the river channels and down the rapids in inflatable kayaks. A very tasty buffet lunch that has a little something for everyone awaits you after the adventure as well!
Get here to enjoy the wilderness, maybe meet some new friends and get into a little trouble with the kayak adventure then add more photos to your ever expanding online photo albums in facebook, google+, tumblr, instagram... etc etc.

Who is it for?
Anyone aged above 16 years old, who is comfortable being in fast moving water can join this activity. This means non-swimmers is fine as you will have a life vest to keep you afloat if you fall into the deeper sections and a helmet to protect your head. You do not need to know how to paddle although it would certainly help!
Young children aged above 7 years is allowed to seat with the parent or guardian. Child must be comfortable being in fast moving water and able to follow instructions and comply to rules.

Itinerary
0900 Meet guide after Gopeng Toll Exit then convoy to basecamp. After parking car, you can change into your swimwear. After completing indemnity forms, you will be transferred to the river together with inflatable kayaks in a lorry.
1000 Guide will provide briefing on safety and how to paddle the kayaks
1030 Begin kayaking!
1230 End of first run. If you choose to continue second run, you will be transferred back to starting point or you can choose to have lunch first. We suggest going immediately for second run since you don't want a stuffed tummy to weigh your adventure spirit down!
1430 End of second run. You will be transfered back to basecamp to wash up or have lunch. End of service

What do I need to wear/bring?
Wear light breathable clothing. Swimwear & shorts is good. Quick dry material is advantageous. Hat and sunglasses is optional. Strapped sandals or dive booties are excellent choices although sports shoes are fine too.
Bring a change of clothes, towel, insect-repellent, sun-block lotion, toiletries, personal medication and pocket money. This can be safely kepted your car boot. Car keys can be handed to the guide for safe keeping

Getting here
A drive from Ipoh to Gopeng is approximately 30minutes.
From Kuala Lumpur (KL) to Gopeng, it takes approximately 2 hours.
Go north to Ipoh on PLUS highway. Look out for Gopeng exit 135 (after Tapah Exit). T-junction turn right to go Gopeng town. You will drive through 1 set of traffic lights and within few minutes you will be in Gopeng.Lookout for police station on right handside at town area, turn right into road after the police station. At the end, there is a small row of commercial shops, park there and a guide will be waiting.
Private land transfer from KL can be arranged upon request at additional charge.
