Jungle ATV Ayer Keroh, Malacca

UPDATE APRIL 2012: Land development works have taken over the jungle where we offer our exciting rides. This means a temporary end to one of Malacca's best and probably only thrilling outdoor adventure. However, our track rides are still available. We are actively seeking a new jungle location. We hope to be able to offer extreme rides soon again.

What else is there to do at a UNESCO World Heritage Site like the historic town of Malacca apart from visiting its historic sites, watching cultural performances, taking a ride on the trishaws, and eating amazing Nyonya and Portuguese food? Well there is jungle ATV and buggy adventure!

This adventure puts you in the hot seat tearing up the hilly terrain, stirring up dust, mud and leaves.. depending what the weather serves you on that day. You learn to negotiate sharp turns in a secondary forest, threading on uneven gravel grounds, deep slopes then kick up the dust in wide open grounds. By the end of this hour long gruelling drive, you might just want to buy one for yourself! We've tried it. It's excellent and you might want to do it too!

This wheel spinning dirt trail adventure was conceived by Mr.Onn, a friendly and humble family man who started a mini go-kart circuit almost  decade ago following his passion for speed and big bikes. He has travelled on two wheels extensively to the north and across the border. As friendly as he is, you better not mess with him as his other skill is in martial arts. He has represented Malaysia for Tae Kwon Do competitions and has traveled as far as Budapest to break boards and show off some mighty chops! Today, his energy goes into managing a go-kart track which has expanded to include pocket bike, ATV/Quad and buggy rides. We say skip the tracks and hit the jungle!

They get very busy here. To avoid long waiting periods and have vehicles plus a guide ready when you arrive, please book early. 

Rates in Malaysian Ringgit (RM)

We prefer a minimum of 5 units. Drivers/Riders must be 16years and above. Passengers on twin-seater buggy rides may be younger and will require parent/guardian consent.

Each session runs at a maximum of 10units for safety and to reduce delays.

Paintball starter package includes face mask, body vest, marker and 100 pellets.

Itinerary

-Meet at pre-scheduled time (preferably morning for cooler weather) -Briefing on terrain and safety. Gear up -Practise sessions on the track will be held for beginners - on request -Hit the trails! Duration approximately 1 hour depending on skills and number of participants.

Note: Activity will continue in wet weather - its even more FUN!! Activity will stop if there is torrential downpour or when lightning appears.

What's included?

Guide, training, vehicle rental, helmet (on request or you can bring your own for personal hygiene). Ratio 1 guide to 10 vehicles.

For ATV, elbow and knee pads are provided.

What's excluded?

Drinks/Snacks, Insurance and transfer

What should I wear/bring?

Light weight clothing. Non-white long sleeve shirt, long pants and shoes,  - basically clothes that can get dirty since they will be a lot of dust and on wet days, mud. Bring an extra set of clothes, insect repellent, sunblock and sunglasses/goggles (especially for contact lens). Bring your own snacks and drinks in a bag. You may also purchase them at the office before starting.

Note: There are no changing rooms at the track although you can wash up at a tap. For extra washing or to change, you will need to go a McDonalds nearby.

Is it dangerous?

Yes - just like any other extreme sport, there is the level of risk which you have to accept. If you exercise patience and caution, risk is reduced. Play hard, play fair and play safe!

Apart fom the Malacca's very famous cultural, historical and gastronomical attractions, nearby there is the Malacca Zoo, Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary, Crocodile Farm, Bullock Cart rides and Ayer Keroh Recreational Forest.

Less than 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur and less than 3 hours drive from Singapore (without traffic and immigration delays).
